Jenna Cazalet 'Aloneness is an integral part of existence, but connecting is what gives us humanity. However we don't just connect with each other: a work of art, literature, animals all provide meaning and engender feelings of belonging, the start of a dialogue'
Jenna works on a large scale in oil and charcoal, she works fast to capture the energy and maintain the freshness of the ideas; texture is important, so too the 'happy accident' when paint does its own thing.
With each painting a dialogue happens between the medium and the artist. Like any conversation there is adjustment and compromise, action and reaction, until hopefully a resolution is attained and the images are freed to start their own dialogue with the viewer.
