Alison is a Bristol based artist. She is influenced by 20C abstract expressionists and primitivism; her work also references film and literature. Alison says that she doesn't like to explain too much about her paintings, she is interested in how different people respond and interpret her paintings, as everyone has their own narrative for the work.

Alison's work has been widely exhibited in galleries around Bristol and further afield for around 10 years, but for the last four she has worked as a full time painter.
